When MuseLinoleum is on holiday, I find that working small and making piles of little goodies (i) enables me to continue to make things without committing to a large project that has great potential of becoming a serious yarn tragedy and (ii) this practice is also my way of telling that muse-chick that I appreciate her immensely and I beg her return (akin to leaving cookies for Claus). So, I beckon thusly...
...with a pile of signature
Monster Crochet Zombie Eyeballs (complete with nerve endings) crocheted from size 8 DMC perle cotton and a size 6 steel hook...

I love these so much!!!!! I can totally see them displayed in a lovely rattan basket on the coffee table. (Much better than papier mache fruit!!)
ReplyDeleteI adore those eyeballs and hey, that one finger looks vaguely familiar =)
ReplyDeleteAmong my life goals of seeing the The Great Wall of China and swimming in the Dead Sea, is my dream of spending just one Halloween at your house.
ReplyDeleteSQUEE!!! I WANT ONE!!!(of each):P
ReplyDeleteClassic goolieness, love them!
ReplyDeleteHoly zombie fingers, Batman!! I think I love these almost as much as the filet skeleton.

ReplyDeleteI love the "gaggle" of eye balls (what do you call a collection of eye balls?
ReplyDeleteHahahah those are awesome. What are you gonna do with them? String them up on garland? Attach them to a big flouncy scarf?? Whatever... they're great!
ReplyDeleteawh that muse must be one tough cookie to coax! those are gifts of sheer genius and love!!! and with th nip in the air we are experiencing, seasonal too!
ReplyDeleteIf I was your muse I'd be back just for those yummy fingers. :)
ReplyDeleteOhh, these are great. Halowwen must be great at your house!
ReplyDeleteI am very sure your Muse will love them. They are brilliant! :D
ReplyDeleteKoigu for the dismembered fingers....excellent and colorful choice of yarn!
ReplyDeleteThose severed fingers are really cool. I'd show them to my husband but then he would want me to make some....
ReplyDeleteI am speachless...and that is tough to do!
ReplyDeleteWell, who couldn't use a couple more eyeballs and fingers to *spike* the trick or treater candy bowl this Halloween?
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree, when being a committment-phobe, do a lot of little things instead of one big scary one.
This is how I ended up with one thousand crocheted flower pins. And now what do I do with them? Stick them to gifts and hope no one says bad things about me.
Getting ready for Halloween, are we?
ReplyDeleteEven sans muse, those fingers are freaky cool!!
ReplyDeleteahhh vaht a vundehver vay to express your inner goul...
ReplyDeleteI'm all for working small... and I'll have to pop back and check out the pics when they reappear. Oh! The anticipation!

Hi Regina! Yes, there´s a yarn district in Buenos Aires. Yarn stores at both sides of three streets, one shop beside the other! I think it´s a Lady Linolium must! I wish you come someday and we meet and go yarn shopping together! ;)
ReplyDeleteKoigu severed fingers - what could be better?
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful!
