Fortunately I had a slightly older version of my beloved green bloggy template saved on my computer. Cleaning up this mess as I type...

Lesson learned? back up template often.

I'm still missing some cute stuff that I was awarded. waaahhhh
I have saved all the code to a document, so if I ever lose anything I have it backed up. speaking of Which need to do that again.
