Continuing along with the Fall Poultrypalooza theme...Meet Turkeyzilla!
Yes, he's a large-boned boy (18" tall in a sitting position), crocheted with good old Lion Brand Homespun in their Harvest colorway and a K hook. Instead of using Fiberfill to stuff this guy I used styrofoam beanbag chair pellets. Not only are they incredibly light, but I love the fact that this Tom Turkey sits comfortably on his rear due to his movable innards.
Notice any similarities?
Yes, I have a big plastic Godzilla toy. So what.
If you want your own Turkeyzilla, you can purchase one here.
I also wanted to thank everyone for their wonderful comments about my chicken apron. You guys rock!

IS this turkey a REAL turkey?
It's pretty damn cool either way. I don;t fault you for having a plastic Godzilla.
Ohhhhhhhhhh I likes the turkey!
Hey if I devour him will I become sleepy?
Regina, I will not poke fun or think any less of you for your Godzilla toy if you don't mock me for sleeping with a Crypt Keeper doll, k?
Well I think this proves that the t rex and the modern tom are definately related!!!
The scientists and anthropologists and biologists can all go home now!!
Nicely done.....I'm clapping, I'm clapping, I'm clapping!!!!!!
Ha! So that's what you're supposed to do with styrofoam packing...he's so totally seasonal, too.
They make a lovely couple.
Thanks you guys! He's a big boy and actually (I'll let ya in on a little secret) this guy is the basis for yet another functional item. I know, I know, what functional item could be made from this thing??? Just you wait!
Kath and Lori, I totally need to make mashed potatoes.
Sally, I agree. Scientists do think that bird are a direct decendent from dinos. I didn't even think of that while making this guy.
Jane, I agree.
